Transfer of the collective bargaining agreement to civil servants
In its urgent motion, the SPD parliamentary group calls on the Bavarian state government to transfer the collective agreement for the public service of the states completely and without delay to the salaries of civil servants, judges and pension recipients. The collective bargaining agreement from February 2026 provides for salary increases in several stages until the beginning of 2028. According to the application, Bavaria should stick to the previous practice of transferring tariff increases to civil servant salaries at the same time and with the same effect. The group particularly criticizes the state government's announcement that it will postpone the salary adjustment by six months. The group also points to the competition for skilled workers in the public service. Other federal states have already announced a direct transfer of the collective agreement. The state government is therefore requested to reverse the planned delay and provide the necessary budget resources. The emergency motion was rejected with 88 votes against. 65 MPs voted in favor and there were no abstentions.
