Should your brokerage account be the same platform as your 401k?

I have a 401k which is on Fidelity (technically NetBenefits which is run by Fidelity?). I would like to start a brokerage account and am wondering if I should stick to Fidelity for it…I’ve read good things about Vanguard as well.
