How did you find your house? Feels like nothing useful on Immoscout & Classifieds

Hi everyone, I'm 27, work in the public sector in a city with a population of ~50k in West Germany and would like to buy a house in the next few years. Equity is available, financing should generally be feasible. My problem is more: it feels like almost nothing but junk or completely overpriced items end up online. Mostly completely ripped off for absurd money, nothing renovated in the last 40 years. 30-year-old oil heaters, energy efficiency class H, cost €400
