Ceconomy: EU wants to closely examine the planned takeover by JD.com

The Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com wants to swallow MediaMarkt-Saturn parent Ceconomy. But EU Commissioner Teresa Ribera apparently has concerns and wants to check the billion-dollar deal for unfair subsidies. That would be a novelty.
