41 years old, first child since May – am I doing everything right financially for my family?

Reddit r/Finanzen·1d·SocialSocial

Hello everyone, we have been new parents since May and I wanted to share our financial situation transparently - maybe it will help someone in a similar situation. To be honest, I worry a lot about whether I'm doing everything right. At the age of 41 with my first child, I sometimes wonder if I'm late, financially speaking. We don't have a huge buffer, the bridging phase is coming, daycare costs are coming up, and I sometimes ask myself whether we are saving too much, not saving enough, or in the wrong way
