Vanguard Wellesley Income Fund (VWIAX)

Hello everyone, The bond market has been uncertain and performance has been poor given various geopolitical and economic factors. The Wellesley fund has been affected to some extent since large portion of its bond holdings are corporate issuers. Do you think it's still worth keeping a large position within both taxable and tax deferred portfolios? If not, what are the good alternatives? I am in retirement and need passive income.
